Can’t say enough about how amazing this hotel was!! We booked a family room (2 adjoining rooms) the week between Christmas and NYE and had the best visit ever! The rooms are beautiful and newly redone and HUGE for European standards. The towels and linens are lush, the showers are huge (rare in Europe) and the hairdryers are full size and not the terrible wall mount ones you usually get. Our rooms had a front-facing balcony and we were treated to a 10k out our window! So fun to watch!! The hotel itself is beautiful — the pool (1st floor) is great, if a little chilly, and the two saunas (one dry, one wet - on 5th floor) were icing on the cake. The breakfast was delicious — tons of options, an omelette station, so many carbs and something for everyone. The chia pudding was my favorite! The hotel is in a great location, about 15 mins walking from most things and close but not right in the middle of tourist craziness. We loved chilling in the restaurant/bar area in the evening. There’s a great miradouro right around the corner, too. Tiny city grocery right 5 mins down the street. The staff was friendly and everyone speaks English beautifully but tolerated our botched attempts at Portuguese. This is one of the BEST places we’ve ever stayed, and by far my favorite place we’ve stayed in Europe. There’s very few feelings of satisfaction quite as good as knowing you picked the PERFECT hotel, and all week I was crowing about how mom did the best job planning LOL!! Just book it, you won’t regret it!

Bessa Hotel is a great boutique hotel in downtown Lisbon. I booked this hotel because it was close to most tourist locations. It's within 15-20 minutes of the airport and walking distance from all downtown attractions and key locations. The Hotel has a small pool, but it's sufficient to cool off and relax between your sightseeing and trips around the city. The Breakfast buffet is excellent and offers a lot of variety; even my picky teenagers found something they like to eat. The staff are lovely, and they speak English. My wife is fluent in Portuguese, and they loved talking with us, and we had a great time. If you're planning trips to Sintra, Fatima, and Tours around the city, the pickup location is the street, and the opposite is just across the Hard Rock Caffe. There are many Hotel options on Avenida, but Bessa is unique and provides a modern experience. You won't have to climb up those hills with your suitcase as it is located on Main Street with many luxury shops within walking distance. I booked 2 rooms, and they kindly offered us our rooms on the same floor. The Room Service was great, reasonably priced, and we loved the food.

Typically, when I travel, I'm not too concerned with the details of a hotel since I'm usually out exploring all day. However, this hotel made my trip truly unforgettable. The location, staff, cleanliness, and facilities were all exceptional. Situated in an upscale area at the edge of Lisbon's bustling streets, it offers the perfect starting point for exploring the city without missing out on key attractions. There's a metro station right in front of the hotel, and bus and train stations are just a 2-3 minute walk away, making it incredibly convenient. Additionally, there's a charming outdoor café across the street, perfect if you prefer not to spend on the hotel breakfast (though the breakfast there is fantastic). Tuk-tuks and small shops selling Hop-on Hop-off bus tickets are also right outside the hotel, adding to the ease and comfort of my stay. This hotel will be my go-to choice whenever I visit Lisbon again.

Excellent hotel !!! The staff (at the reception, at breakfast, at spa, room service and cleaning service) was always truly caring about us and all the hotel guests. The hotel location is excellent, few steps to the metro station and 5 minutes walk to the pedestrian zone. The room looking to the inner yard was very quiet, clean, comfortable. The bathroom as well. The breakfast was very very good with rich choice of all kind of food in a very very good quality. We ordered diner on two evenings from the room service and the quality was also very good and delicious. As a desert, I had the best creme brulee from the hotel room service in my life (and as a fan of creme brulee I tried many around the world). When we visit Lisbon again, we will definitely stay again in this hotel and if we visit Porto, we will take the Bessa hotel there too.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I can confidently say it exceeded all of my expectations. The location is superb, making it easy to explore the city and access key attractions. My room was not only spacious but also beautifully decorated, providing a perfect blend of comfort and style. The breakfast each morning was nothing short of incredible, offering a wide variety of delicious options that catered to every palate. Additionally, the convenience of parking in the underground garage was a huge plus, making my stay stress-free. Overall, the level of professionalism from the staff was top-notch, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was handled with care and attention to detail. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an exceptional experience.
